As a Business Networks Project Manager, you will be joining a team with a broad range of Project Management experience, where you will be responsible for managing multiple concurrent global community/supplier/implementation projects for OpenText customers.
As part of the OpenText Solutions Implementation team, you will work with new and existing customers, taking them through a project implementation and on-boarding process to a go-live point.
The project implementation process involves full project life-cycle management across requirements definition / governance / SOW creation / development / testing / UAT / go live phases. Customers will typically be large, global, complex and challenging.
To achieve this, the Project Manager will have 2+ years’ experience working as a Project Manager, where they have planned and managed multiple implementation projects, managing all resources and work streams, organizing and allocating tasks, providing management reporting both internally and externally to ensure a timely delivery within agreed tolerances.
What You Are Great At:
Planning and organizing. You will be able to quickly understand the scope of the project workstreams assigned to you and be able to turn that into a sequence of activities that can be allocated to individuals that you can track to completion.- Communicating clearly with team members and colleagues, to ensure that everyone understands the project scope and goals and is working to achieve the same aims.
- Communicating clearly with OpenText customers at project and executive levels, both verbally and in formal reports, to keep them updated on progress, any challenges being encountered and progress against the overall project plans.
- Managing multi-disciplined project teams, including onshore and offshore team members.
- Managing multiple workstreams concurrently, probably for multiple clients, and able to prioritize tasks ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Gaining an understanding of your customers business needs, and ensuring that your projects work to support these, within the boundaries set by the statement of works.
- Controlling change to ensure that the projects scope, effort estimates and budgets are met, and any deviations are documented and agreed.
What it takes to excel:
- Excellent interpersonal and effective verbal and written communication skills. Confident working with project executives both internal and external, as well as project teams.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Excellent organizational, planning and prioritization skills
- Exposure to EDI managed services implementation
- Multi-lingual is an advantage, preferably Finnish. French, German or Polish are an advantage as well.
