- Managing the mechanical material testing laboratory and, as a growth path, determining the stability of these materials under the influence of climate and UV radiation.
- Leading the high throughput formulation laboratory, which is responsible for the rapid screening of inkjet formulations.
- Achieving test results and translating these results into clear answers for customers.
- Keeping standard test methods up to date and identifying and implementing new test methods for various materials and applications in an innovative environment. This involves efficiently using literature, standards, training, and scientific conferences.
- Maintaining and expanding a network of external laboratories with specialized testing equipment.
- Actively participating in and/or coordinating interdisciplinary project teams to solve material-related problems from a functional perspective.

- Daily coordination/dispatch of requests with the operators.
Desired Profile
- You hold a master's degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or possess equivalent experience.
- You have initial experience with mechanical testing (tensile, fracture, abrasion, etc.) on different materials (polymers, composites, coatings, dispersions, metals) and you are willing to further deepen your knowledge in this field.
- Additional qualifications include experience with weathering tests (climate/UV weathering), knowledge of optical measurements (UV/VIS spectrometry), evaluation of color and gloss, knowledge of digital microscopy, automation (e.g., LabView), and materials science.
- You have experience in data analysis and statistics and possess strong problem-solving skills.
- You enjoy working hands-on in the laboratory and have excellent organizational skills.
- You thrive outside routine work, enjoy challenges, and can adapt well to rapidly changing objectives.
