Student poSition with iFu’S CommuniCation department - Copenhagen

We are hiring a creative and proactive student assistant with a passion for writing and creating
engaging content.

As part of the Communication Department, you will be responsible for creating content in the form of
news, articles and videos to tell the story of the positive changes we create in developing countries.
An important part will be to conduct research and collect information on our investment projects and
turn it into powerful impact stories to be used in our internal and external communication.

IFU is Denmark’s Development Finance Institution, striving to create positive change through commercial and
sustainable investments in private sector companies in developing countries and emerging markets across
Africa, Asia, Latin America, and parts of Europe. Our main goal is to contribute to green, just and inclusive
societies. Therefore, we focus strongly on sustainability, the Sustainable Development Goals and creating
better living conditions for people, who do not have the same opportunities that we do in Denmark.

the poSition & your taSkS

You will become part of a small and dedicated team of communication professionals, and be supervised by
the Communication Director. Your primary task will be to support the team in creating content and to support
our internal and external communication activities.

In particular, you will:

  • Create engaging written content such as news, articles, and posts
  • Research and collect information on our investment projects as basis for content
  • Coordinate and align with other departments to ensure accuracy of the content
  • Develop and update IFU’s website
  • Support social media activities and maintain our presence on LinkedIn
  • Produce and edit videos
  • Complete ad hoc task


The working hours are 15-20 hours per week. Your work can be arranged flexibly and according to your classes,
exams etc. The position is based in our head office on Fredericiagade 27, 1310 København K. Working from
home may be allowed upon agreement.

Ideally, we hope that you can start as soon as possible, preferably by September.

your QualiFiCationS

We expect that you:
• study journalism or are enrolled in a relevant university degree (e.g. language, media science, rhetoric

or information studies), and are close to completing your bachelor or have just started on your master’s.
  • have great writing and storytelling skills, and high proficiency in English
  • have high creative energy, combined with a structured approach and the ability to produce content
quickly and effectively
  • have the ability to collect and structure information and data, and use it to generate content
  • are well-organised and pay attention to detail
  • are able to work on several tasks simultaneously and prioritize according to a timeline
  • have a good understanding of digital communication channels and solid experience in using LinkedIn
  • are an experienced user of Microsoft 365
  • are a team player with a positive attitude


Furthermore, it’s an advantage if you:

  • have high proficiency in written Danish

  • have experience in producing and editing of videos

As a student, you will become part of a very strong network of approx. 10 students who are assisting and
helping in key areas across the organisation. The student committee regularly organizes social events for all
students to encourage networking and cooperation in an informal setting.
