About the position
The Carindale Conservation Team Supervisor will provide daily supervision for a team of 11 trainees to carry out a structured program of work activities relating to conservation, nursery operations and general grounds and facilities maintenance duties. You will be responsible for assisting in planning and delivering all on-site work activities in line with the Skilling Qld for Workskills Traineeship guidelines and will support trainees to learn a range of skills in accordance with the Certificate I in Conservation and Land Management, which will be delivered by our external partner RTO.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering work schedule and daily activities
- Overseeing WHS including daily Toolbox Talks, Incident Reports, Health & Wellbeing
- Liaising with Stakeholders and partners regarding work activities, resources & processes
- Recording trainee attendance, health checks, work performance and incidents
- Reporting to Project Coordinator Program Manager as required
- Level 3 or higher qualification from the Agricultural, Horticultural and Conservation Land Management training package
- Demonstrated equivalent experience at a level 3
- A minimum 112-month experience working in a similar Landcare type role
- Experience in working with disenfranchised youth, social work or in a support role
- Dealing with difficult people, conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
